The core board pursues a small size with a single TYPE-C port design, and the USB and serial port functions are mutually exclusive. When U2 (CH340N) is soldered without R4 and R5, the C port is used as the serial communication function, and when U2 (CH340N) is soldered without R4 and R5, the C port is used as the USB communication function.
Regarding the hardware design of TYPE-C and CC ports
Both CC1 and CC2 pins are suspended: only USBA to TYPE-C data cables can be used for power supply.
Short circuit CC1 and CC2 pins and pull down 5.1K resistor: When using fast charging power supply and dual C-port data cable with EMARK chip at the same time, power supply will not be provided, and other combinations can provide normal power supply.
Pull down 5.1K resistors on pins CC1 and CC2 respectively: standard design, both can be powered, recommended for use.
